"Lets Go Devils'[LGD] - I was shouting as my voice almost broke. Not only me, but there were hundreds of other fans who were chanting LGD, LGD, LGD. But I guess Andrew Walter and his offense turned deaf in the cold and they never went anywhere. Saturday was a day of frustration as all our hopes of going to the rose bowl were dashed as we suffered a humiliating defeat in the hands of California, Berkeley. The score doesn't warrant a mention in this blog.

Andrew Walter is just like Sachin Tendulkar. He has lofty statistics aginst the minnows and never fails to slaughter innocence. When the team has an opening to enter into the portals of greatness, he simply falters. He indeed is a paper tiger.

you are making the same mistake. don't expect too much out of just one person in a team game. a quarterback is only as good as his offensive linemen. vice versa is true too.
look whats happening to TO in philly. and compare it against the 49ers performance when he was with them. you gotta be in the right place at the right time.

Btw: I really liked your moral on the post 2 days back :)

I think if an individual has to graduate from good to great he has to carry the team on his shoulders in the most gravest of situations. Walter made some very bad decisions on Saturday even when his offensive line gave him a lot of time. Five turnovers at vital junctures killed us. The game was more tightly contested than the scoreline suggested. We just dint make the big plays.

And harping on the story of the weekend, the Hokies are headed to the BCS. What a comeback, esp sans any superstars. Its good to be a Hokie !
